Anirudh Daga

The Avani Group is a relatively new entrant on the city's real estate scene, and Anirudh Daga, 35, has built his small empire entirely on his own. With no family business to learn from, he admits that when he started business in 1990, he had hardly anticipated the property boom. "In those days, the supply was greater than demand, and it was always the buyer who dictated terms." he remembers.

Beside housing projects, Daga is now looking to build more malls like Avani Europa, North Kolkata figures prominently on his agenda, for he realizes that part of the city has not been developed fully yet. He has seven projects in hand, to build over 15 lakh sq. ft. of city land. But Daga is on a mission : " In the next ten years, I want to see as a many Avani Malls and cities as possible."
